5 Tips For Great Skin

Let me start by saying my skin is not perfect. I still get acne, random whiteheads, and sometimes my pores are larger than my bank account. But that doesn’t exempt me from giving advice on skincare. If anything, my past experiences and where I am now in my skincare journey give me the privilege to share my tips and insights. Anyone who knows me understands how dedicated I am to skincare, so here’s a deep look into what I do to maintain my ever-changing skin.

5 Tips for great skin

1. Aloe Juice

Great skin comes from the inside out, so your diet is very important. We all know the drink water hack, which is common sense at this point, but I take it a small step further. I like to dilute aloe juice with water and drink some every time I hydrate. Aloe juice is a good source of vitamin C, which is amazing for your skin.

2. Snail Mucin

I’ve been using COSRX Snail Mucin for two years now (not sponsored). If I were stranded on an island with no Sephora, Ulta, or Target and could only bring three items, this would be one of them. I’ll share the other two below.

3. Mangos

If you didn’t know, now you know: mangos are a superfood. They’re beneficial not just for your skin but for many other aspects of health. Specifically for skincare, mangos are a great source of Vitamins A and C, which are fantastic for your skin. There’s even a whole website dedicated to mango recipes and treats.

4. Matcha

I recently discovered matcha. At first, I thought it tasted nasty, but after finding my own recipe (which I’ll share soon), I started warming up to it. Matcha is rich in antioxidants and nutrients that promote circulation.

5. Double Cleansing

This may be the most important tip I give you: double cleanse twice a day. You need both an oil cleanser and a hydrating cleanser. Use the oil cleanser first, then follow with the hydrating cleanser. Do this in the morning before your skincare routine, and again at night. Remember when I mentioned the three items I’d take to a deserted island? Well, they would unapologetically be my cleansers and snail mucin.

That’s it for this post, guys! Stay tuned as I share my specific skincare items and more advice on getting the most bang for your buck when it comes to skincare. I hope you learned something new!
